The Holešov Strategic Industrial Zone project is being implemented under a programme supporting business properties and infrastructure. The programme is administered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

The Zlín Region received a grant of CZK 1,085 million for the project (75% of total costs incurred). The project’s target indicators are incoming investment of CZK 10 billion and 4,000 workers, with a completion deadline of the end of 2040.

Decisions regarding activities in the industrial zone are made in accordance with programme rules. For the duration of the project’s sustainability period, the Zlín Region is obliged to manage the assets of the industrial zone in accordance with the instructions of the Inter-ministerial Evaluation Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and the CzechInvest agency.

In light of developments in the Czech Republic’s investment environment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade ended the reservation of the 100 ha area designated for a strategic foreign investor at the end of 2019, thereby enabling smaller investment projects to occupy the land as well.
