Opportunity for Innovative Companies: Head to Texas to Find Partners!

Another unique opportunity for innovative companies from the Zlín Region is being prepared by the regional development agency ZRIA. From September 15 to 23, 2026, ZRIA will organize a business mission to Texas. Participants will visit Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio, and will have the chance to follow in the footsteps of companies from previous missions that successfully found partners in the United States, gained valuable know-how, established important contacts, and obtained key market insights. For example, the well-known “AI Mayor“ project by the company called IS Produkce reached its final form and functionality partly because its creators found a technology partner during a previous mission to Texas.

“The mission is full of meetings with companies, chambers of commerce, and other institutions. Networking and partner search are the essence of this trip. Texas-based companies and organizations are actively seeking international partnerships in Europe. That is why this represents a great opportunity for businesses,” said Petr Kubíček, Director of Strategic Development at ZRIA.

The program will include B2B meetings with companies such as Bell and Lockheed Martin, meetings with economic development organizations, and participation in the Texas Space Summit. Texas offers opportunities for companies operating in aviation, the space industry, defense, and dual-use technologies. However, the mission is also open to innovative companies from other sectors.

The fact that these missions deliver tangible results is confirmed by Martin Gazda from the Zlín-based company IS Produkce:

“Before our trip to Texas, we were in the middle of developing “AI Mayor“. We had the technology and the idea, but we lacked the perspective that comes from being at the center of AI innovation. Thanks to ZRIA, doors were opened for us, and we met a team that helped move us forward. Without that connection, “AI Mayor“ would not have become what it is today.”

The mission is organized by ZRIA in cooperation with the Zlín Region. Interested companies are encouraged to register early, as the number of places is limited to ensure the exclusivity and effectiveness of individual business meetings.
