Business Mission to Texas

ZRIA, in cooperation with the Zlín Region, is organizing a business mission to the State of Texas, USA, from September 15–23, 2026. The mission is focused on presenting specialized business opportunities, establishing commercial contacts, and developing strategic partnerships.

 

The delegation will meet with representatives of selected Economic Development Corporations (EDCs), participate in professionally organized company visits, and attend targeted networking and partnership meetings.

 

An important part of the programme is an invitation from partners including the Greater San Antonio Chamber and the Southwest Research Institute (which collaborates with NASA) to participate in the prestigious Texas Space Summit  in San Antonio.

Main points of the preliminary itinerary
DALLAS:

Meetings with representatives of the North Texas Commission, chambers of commerce, incubators, and key players in the aerospace and defence industries such as Lockheed Martin and Bell.

The programme will also include an overview of the information and communication technologies and advanced manufacturing sectors through EDCs from the Fort Worth, Plano, and Frisco areas.

 

AUSTIN:

The programme includes a visit to the partner region of Bastrop County, home to Elon Musk companies such as SpaceX and The Boring Company. The visit will also feature a B2B networking event where Czech and American participants will have the opportunity to present their activities and projects.

The programme will be complemented by presentations from local EDCs focused on investment opportunities and support for foreign companies entering the Texas market. A networking event will also take place in cooperation with the long-term partner Opportunity Austin.

 

SAN ANTONIO:

Participation in the prestigious Texas Space Summit, a major industry conference focused on the commercial, civil, and defence space economy. The summit, organized by the Greater San Antonio Chamber, brings together government representatives, NASA, military partners, leading aerospace companies, startups, investors, and research institutions. It creates opportunities for strategic partnerships, discussions on procurement and cooperation in national security, commercial launches, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and space acquisition.

 

The programme may be adjusted depending on the current geopolitical situation.

Objectives:

 

  • Market entry and expansion support:
    Facilitate the entry of companies from the Zlín Region into the U.S./Texas market and identify business opportunities, particularly within Texas’s advanced industrial ecosystems in aerospace, defence, and dual-use technologies.

 

  • Building strategic business partnerships: Support direct B2B cooperation with Texas companies, incubators, and accelerators in order to develop joint projects, licensing agreements, research and development cooperation, and distribution channels.

 

  • Investment attractiveness and foreign direct investment: Promote the Zlín Region as an attractive Central European hub for high-tech manufacturing, innovation, and a skilled workforce, offering a business-friendly environment for American companies entering the EU market.

 

  • Innovation and technology exchange: Support the development of innovation in automation, digitalization, and industrial problem-solving by connecting technology companies from the Zlín Region with Texas innovation clusters and startup ecosystems.

 

  • Public–private sector cooperation: Strengthen institutional relationships between the Zlín Region and Texas cities and development agencies to support long-term economic ties, including memoranda of understanding, joint programmes, and interregional cooperation models, particularly within the State Partnership Program.
